McGill Baptist Church

We are a hundred and three years old and we are still growing! Yes, McGill Baptist has celebrated a centennial: a century of love, outreach, and ministry. But we don’t only celebrate the past we embrace the future. These next years and century promises to be very eventful and exciting.

In November 2002, we moved our church from 202 McGill Ave to the corner of George W. Liles Parkway and Poplar Tent Road.

As we are in a very important point in the life of our church, we are keenly aware

of how different things are from the time McGill Avenue Baptist Church began, and yet how some things are the same. The need for a heartfelt Christian community is timeless. Community is what we are about. Our congregation is varied and diverse, young and old, native and newcomer, but we are one family in Christ.

McGill is a place where both women and men can serve in leadership positions such as our Deacons. It is a place where children learn and experience the inclusive love of God. Our children and our adults also learn various music skills in graded choral and handbell choirs. They learn missions by doing! It is a place for you.
