Salisbury District of the United Methodist Church

The Salisbury District is composed of 64 United Methodist churches in Rowan and Cabarrus counties, each of which is striving to fulfill the mission to follow Jesus, make disciples, and transform the world. District churches support each other’s ministry and work together to accomplish what they would not be able to accomplish separately. The one example of a district-wide effort is the disaster response ministry. The district owns a trailer, which is stocked with supplies for various mission work teams, which travel near and far to help people affected by floods, tornadoes, and hurricanes. Funds from district churches support this ministry, as well as other important ministries, such as the pastoral counseling ministry of the Center for Growth and Healing.
